Introduction
The NEUF was established in 2004 as a not-for profit NGO by a group of concerned citizens whose vision was “A Just and peaceful society with sustainable development”. It has six academically and technically qualified members serving in the board. There are Five full time staff members and two part time academics working in the organization at present. Since its inception, the NEUF has carried out several development projects and programmes in twenty (20) DS Divisions in the Ampara district to empower marginalized and impoverished groups and alleviate poverty.
